Let the Summer Fun Begin...

Tomorrow, John will be home for the summer. we are both excited to be spending this time together and have some cool plans in the works. We will be spending a week in Carmel by the Sea, one in Santa Cruz and maybe one in a loft down the street from our former place of residence in the East Bay...we'll see. I'll be going to Mexico (and other foreign places)as well as Texas, later in the summer...and probably Oklahoma, too....and we have plans for here in Portland as well. We will be going to the coast for a couple of weekends and up to Seattle. John has a few days planned for the Shakespeare festival in Ashland as well, and we will be staying at the Running Y Ranch in Klamath Falls and staying at the lodge at Crater Lake as well, for at least one night. Crater Lake is one of our favorite places and quite romantic. Looking forward to the fun.

As he does every summer, he will be driving back to Portland rather than flying. Tomorrow, he is going to gather up some of our good art to bring with him. In particular is a wooden tower that was hand pained by Tim Gratkowski and Darwin Price, one of our favorite pieces, a mosaic hummingbird, by Kim Larson and a gorgeous Japanese print that we framed together when we lived in Portland the first time. I've been searching for places to hang them and think I have it worked out, but want to get John's feedback first.

It will be nice to have him home again. He is getting into the final stages of his play and I can't wait to finally read it from beginning to end.

Going to bed now. When I awaken, I will go to pick up my beautiful new Takamine guitar. Can hardly wait!!
